Learn to Dive

With Lady Of The Sea Diving Academy

Put some fun and adventure into your life this summer!

Learning to scuba dive is your key to unlock the underwater world and have experiences that you only ever dreamed of!

What's involved in learning to dive?

Step 1.Knowledge Development.

This section begins whenever you are ready to start. You will be using the most current training materials available and the most advanced diver training system in the world, so there is no need to feel nervous about diving – this is easy stuff. You can choose between the soft cover manual or digital version, thus enabling you to choose when, where and how you will begin increasing your knowledge of scuba diving. Whatever your choice may be, you can begin immediately with home study. From here you can then choose a variety of schedules to complete your course with one of our highly qualified PADI instructors. With our instructors you will have fun learning how the information is applied to real diving situations and your own ocean training dives.

Step 2. Diving in the Pool.

Here’s where the fun really begins: in the pool you get to put into practice the things that you have learnt in step 1. Your first pool dive will be a positive and unforgettable memory. Pool sessions are usually conducted on weekday evenings so that your precious leisure time on weekends isn’t taken up with pool skills but rather ocean dives. The flexible programs offered by Lady Of The Sea Diving Academy ensure that your learning is comfortable & enjoyable. We understand that people learn at different rates so we ensure that you have mastered all necessary skills in the pool before progressing to the ocean dives, thus guaranteeing your enjoyment and safety. Some of the skills you will learn are:

  • Setting up your scuba gear
  • How to clear water from your mask
  • Entering and exiting the water
  • Buoyancy control
  • Basic underwater navigation
  • Safety procedures

Step 3. Exploring the underwater world!

The ocean dives are one of the greatest experiences that you will ever have. There is so much to see and do in this underwater paradise. It is here that you will put into practice the skills that you have learnt in the pool. You will do four SCUBA dives over one weekend, the start of a number of underwater adventures. Over the weekend you will:

  • Experience the exciting underwater world
  • See amazing aquatic life
  • Dive from a boat
  • Experience neutral buoyancy
  • Meet great people
PADI has produced a great video showing what it is like to learn to dive in Australia.
What you see in this video is typical of what you are likely to see on your Open Water Diver course with Lady Of The Sea Diving Academy.
