Nestled on the southern tip of the island of Cebu, Moalboal is famous for its vibrant marine life and spectacular dive sites. We will be staying at Magic Island Resort, a welcoming, intimate dive resort with breathtaking views of Tañon Strait, Pescador Island, and Badian Island. This resort is perfect for divers looking to relax between dives, with its cozy cottages, pool, restaurant, and spa treatments.
Diving Highlights:
Pescador Island: Dive into the famous sardine bait ball, where over a million sardines move in synchrony—an awe-inspiring spectacle. Other incredible dives include coral walls, caverns, and night dives where you may encounter mandarin fish during their twilight mating ritual.
House Reef Diving: Enjoy unlimited unguided house reef dives right off the resort’s shore, teeming with marine life including turtles, frogfish, morays, and black corals. Situated on the rocky coast line, the resort provides you with perfect access to the most amazing house reef with a drop off down to 50m.
Whale Shark Excursion (Optional): Take a day trip to Oslob to snorkel or dive with these gentle giants (additional fee payable at the resort).
Malapascua is an idyllic island off the northeast coast of Cebu, offering pristine beaches and clear blue waters. The accommodation at Evolution Dive Resort will provide comfort and convenience for divers seeking to explore the island’s best dive sites, including the world-famous Monad Shoal. Malapascua is one of the few places in the world where divers can regularly see the elusive thresher sharks before sunrise.
